The next stop in our dating and relationship expert series is the bustling city of Denver, Colorado. Denver has a vibrant dating scene, with a ton of singles who are attracted to the outdoor lifestyle, craft beer scene, and tech industry that continues to flourish. Denver attracts a lot of people from across the country, so chances are you’ll be dating someone who’s not a Colorado native.

Despite the appeal, the city does have its challenges. Namely, housing has gotten expensive and many younger singles find that rising costs affect the dating scene. Luckily, there’s always a hiking date in the Red Rocks if you’re a little short on cash.

Denver also has a good roster of high-profile and successful dating experts in the form of coaches and matchmakers who offer a wide range of affordable services, so if you’re serious about finding someone special in the mile-high city, look no further than our list!

Dr. Lisa Marie Bobby

Dr. Bobby has carved out a prominent niche for herself in the coaching industry in Denver. Her website GrowingSelf.com is a resource for people looking for guidance in their lives, offering links to experts and psychologists who assist with relationship, marriage, and individual counseling. She herself is a licensed therapist and the go-to expert for relationship questions from local and national media outlets. Her book Exaholics: Breaking Your Addiction to Your Ex Love, and podcast “Love, Happiness and Success” have also made her one of the leading experts on breakups, and she was chosen by Match to be one of their nine national dating coaches trained at their worldwide headquarters. She offers a range of options including classes, online courses, and coaching services to clients.

Rachel Greenwald

Rachel Greenwald is a dating coach and matchmaker best known for her best-selling book, Find a Husband After 35 (Using What I Learned at Harvard Business School). In the book, she employed marketing tactics from the business world to help women find a husband “quickly and efficiently,” according to her website. She became a national figure with appearances on The Today Show and CNN, and through interviews with outlets like O, The Oprah Magazine, People, The New York Times, and The New Yorker magazine. While she keeps busy with speaking engagements and training workshops for people who want to become successful matchmakers and dating coaches, she also has her own practice with private clients.

Alysha Jeney, MA, LMFT

Alysha started Modern Love Counseling to provide individual and couples counseling to those struggling in relationships. She’s located exclusively in Denver, and offers dating coaching relevant to the city’s dating scene as a key part of her business. She advises her clients that they have to do the hard work in order to see real changes in their lives. As she says on her website: “Be forewarned, this process isn’t going to be a quick fix, I’m here to help you unlock barriers within yourself that are blocking you from meeting your ideal match. We are going to go a bit deeper than your Tinder profile here!” She provides a wealth of resources for people on her website, including an advice blog and books for couples.

Ross Taraborelli

Ross Taraborelli is the Director of Matchmaking for Monday at 8, headquartered in Denver, Colorado with offices throughout the metro area and the Colorado Front Range. The company offers an array of matchmakers (including Ross) who are trained to get to know who you are and what exactly you are looking for in a partner, so they can introduce you to the right one. The matchmakers schedule all dates around their clients’ busy schedules, and they ask for extensive feedback after each date. They have a selective process in choosing their clients, so be prepared to make the cut! Their website lays out the process so there are no surprises.

If you’re dating in Denver, it helps to take advantage of the social scene, whether it’s joining a hiking group or hanging at a craft brewery with a friend. The experts we suggested can assist in this process, so feel free to reach out.
