There’s no shortage of dating books you can read. A quick search for dating books on Amazon.com yields over 50,000 results, nearly 900 of which are were released in the last 30 days alone at the time this was written. Some books are more helpful than others, the latter of which read more like personal memoirs of overcoming heartbreak. But the best dating books are the ones that challenge you to go deep inside yourself for the truth about the current state of your love affairs. Here are three of the best dating books I would recommend to any of my friends for transforming the way they approach love.
Don’t let this book title mislead you into false expectations. If you think you can read this book and do nothing more, then you’ll be sadly disappointed when seven weeks have come and gone and you still have yet to call in your “one”. This 49-day book program comes with a daily action plan designed to shift your love vibrations, but it only works if you do the work. After a week of daily action, I quickly discovered this self-help dating book is more about “becoming” the one in order to call in “the one”.
For a spiritual approach to finding love, this dating book offers an enlightening perspective on how we relate to the world around us. Based on the book “A Course In Miracles”, Williamson offers up her own interpretation of the literature, introducing concepts like compassion and forgiveness as tools for healing the world—and ourselves—with love. She uses Christian theology and personal anecdotes from her past to help illustrate universal principles applicable to our health, career, and relationships. I found it to be the perfect accompaniment to Thomas’ book with a valuable lesson on the art of surrender.
This new age guide to finding love offers some lovely insight into the magic that has come to be known as the Law of Attraction. Endorsed by Marianne Williamson, this self-help dating book includes practical wisdom for preparing yourself for love at a soul level and saving energetic space to welcome and receive a romantic partner into your life. Arielle Ford provides singles with a strategic blueprint she herself used to achieve success in her career and relationship. She introduces a concept she calls “Feelingizations” which I came to realize was the secret ingredient for reinforcing everything I had learned about myself and the role I play in my love life.
The road to love may be filled with twists and turn. Enjoy the journey, practice loving what is and surrender to new possibilities.
